    Edward Jones Principal Kristen Steffens leads the Portfolio Solutions team within the Investment Management area of the Advice and Guidance department. In this capacity, she is responsible for the portfolio construction implementation of firm discretionary accounts, as well as guidance for managed accounts. Kristen is also a member of the Advisory Investment Committee (AIC).

    Kristen joined the firm in 2016 as a senior portfolio manager for the U.S. equity team. In this role, she was jointly responsible for the U.S. equity sleeve of the Advisory Solutions Research Models, as well as the four U.S. Equity Bridge Builder mutual funds. She was named a team leader in October 2017 and an Edward Jones principal in January 2019.

    Kristen came to the firm with 12 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Her background includes work as a consultant, investment strategist, research analyst and associate portfolio manager. Most recently, she was an institutional investment consultant with RVK.

    Kristen earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and business management from the University of Dayton in Ohio and a master’s in finance from London Business School in London, England. She is a CFA® charterholder.

    Kristen chairs the University and Education Outreach Committee of the CFA Society of St. Louis.

    She and her husband, Matt, have two daughters, Charley and Morgan.
