In 2010, having graduated with an economics degree from Simon Fraser University, I was faced with a choice of pursuing graduate studies or applying for jobs in the financial field. As a teaching assistant during my last few semesters, I often received feedback from my students about how much they valued my simple explanations of complex economic concepts and how successful I would be as a teacher.
