Matt Arnold

Matt Arnold has over 23 years of experience in the equity markets and is a team leader in Edward Jones’ Securities Research department, leading an analyst team in the industrials, materials, and energy sectors. He also co-manages the Stock Focus List, the firm’s flagship list of analysts’ best stock ideas, which are managed as a portfolio.

Matt began his career with Edward Jones in 2000 in the Equity Sales Service department and has been with the firm’s Research area since 2004. He has over 20 years of experience in equity markets and has followed the consumer staples, consumer discretionary, industrials and materials sectors during his career.

Matt has been featured in: The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Barron's, Bloomberg, The New York Times and Chicago Tribune. In addition, he has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg Television, BNN and National Public Radio.

Arnold graduated from Southern Illinois University (SIU) with a bachelor's degree in finance and a minor in accounting. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® or CFA® designation in 2003 and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of St. Louis. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for SIU’s Finance Department.
